Ever need to get something chocolate to satiate the need for, well, chocolate? Deciding against a bag of M&Ms, and/or any other candy bar, is always a good idea, and something I always tend to do in this dire situation is head to the protein bar section.
Checking out all of the protein bar options can be a bit overwhelming- what’s good and what’s bad? Which one has whole, clean ingredients? If you’re like me, gazing at the delicious choices trying to decipher which one will best satiate that craving without throwing you off track of clean eating is a tough problem to have. Let’s make it a little easier.
The Luna Bar stuck out to me first and foremost. Chocolate Dipped Coconut. Chocolate – check. And, bonus, coconut? Dipped in chocolate? Done.
If you tend to grab items and immediately flip it over for the stats (a habit I will never look down upon), I think you’ll be plenty surprised at what you find:
And an insane amount of vitamin content! Vitamins I didn’t expect from a chocolatey dipped, yummy looking protein bar. Super cool! And, as if the flavor of the bar wasn’t enough to pique your curiosity, let me give you my account of the taste.
Though it got a bit melty in my car, thanks to the Florida heat, on a less-than-five-minutes-drive back to work, it was absolutely delish! So tasty; perfect coconut-to-chocolate ratio. And it was a great afternoon snack that even helped keep me extra to bust through an evening workout. All in all – the Luna Bar is a great choice, taste and otherwise, for a healthy sweet snack on the go!
